Information for AOL users

Users attempting to access the system using AOL may find that although they can log in, they are repeatedly returned to the login screen when trying to access any pages. This is apparently to do with the default settings that the AOL browser uses for security.

Instead of adjusting these settings, the easiest workaround for this problem is as follows:

  1. Connect to AOL as normal
  2. Minimise the AOL browser window
  3. Open an alternative browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox)
  4. Access the system at www.mentormatch.mmu.ac.uk and log on from there
  5. You can go back to AOL's browser once you have finished.
